2 p.m. - Meet me at the off-leash dog park on the north end of Peace River (end of 99 St.) for a 20-30-minute hike to the sheltered aspen forest where I took the cover photo of Geneva Seaton for the Mother Earth book. (75-90 minutes total time.) At 4 p.m., we will meet in the large classroom at the Peace River Art Club centre, the ART HUB (10018 101 Street) where you can sip on your choice of freshly-squeezed lemonade sweetened with Peace Country Honey, or Ginger Beer from our neighbours down the street, Peace River Brewing. Enjoy the Mother Earth photography exhibit, featuring Peace Country photographers. I'll even sing a song or two for you.
The exhibit photos are for sale from the Peace River Art Club, and personally-autographed Mother Earth books will be available from Sharon for this event. If you don’t have time for the hike, you can still join us at the the ART HUB at 4 p.m. for refreshments. The galleries and gift shop will be open from 1 - 5 p.m. as they are every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, thanks to our wonderful volunteers.
